Total Skin is one of the few clinics in Greece equipped with the TrichoLAB machine. TrichoLAB enables digital trichoscopy, a non-invasive method for diagnosing various types of alopecia. It can detect hair disorders or pathologies, assess hair density, and categorize hair types. Traditional trichoscopy involves collecting specific hair samples from the problematic area for analysis. Digital trichoscopy, however, can identify these elements without hair removal.
Moreover, TrichoLAB is used to monitor treatment progress. It creates a digital "tattoo" on the scalp at the treatment site before the procedure, generating a dermoscopic image. This allows the doctor to assess results over time. Finally, TrichoLAB aids in calculating hair transplantation needs by determining the area to be covered. Consequently, it also calculates the number of grafts required.
