Krystallia Kyparissou is a Dermatologist - Aphrodisiologist and Hair Transplant Surgeon.
Her journey in the medical field began with her admission to the Medical School of the University of Patras. During her studies, she volunteered in community actions at the Hospital and had her first contact with the international medical community by utilizing her summer breaks to visit the Royal London Hospital and the North Hampshire Hospital in Oxford.
After her studies, she continued with rural service at the Achillopouleio Hospital in Volos and then at the Skiathos Health Center.
She then traveled to the United Kingdom again, where she initially worked for the Ministry of Health of Great Britain and then began her specialization at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
Upon her return to Greece, she attended the postgraduate program "Holistic Therapeutic Systems" and apprenticed alongside Dermatologist and Professor of the University of Athens, Kyriaki Aroni, while also attending and participating in dermatosurgical cases at Evangelismos Hospital.
Wanting to enrich her experience in Dermatologic Surgery, she further trained in Surface Anatomy and Dermatologic Surgery in the United States, at the University of San Diego in California.
Subsequently, she completed her specialization at Agia Barbara and Andreas Syggros Hospitals.
Upon completion of her specialization, she won a scholarship through a competition among 40 residents and traveled to the United States, to the University Colorado Hospital, where she participated in various fields of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology.
There she had her first contact with hair transplantation when she met and visited the clinic of Dr. James Harris, a renowned hair transplant surgeon in America.
She then underwent further training in Pediatric Dermatology at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
Upon her return to Greece, she started her private practice, founding the Totalskin Dermatology clinic with Dermatologist Eleftherios Ioannidis.
At the same time, she became a member of the Dermatology Department of Mater Hospital.
As her interest in hair disorders and their restoration grew, she traveled again to the United States, to the University of Saint Louis, where she trained in hair transplantation techniques.
Subsequently, she apprenticed alongside world-renowned hair transplant surgeons John Cole, Christian Bisanga, and Ron Shapiro.
With Christian Bisanga and Dermatologist Ioannis Venetsanos, she founded the BHR Clinic Athens.
She is a member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the European Society of Pediatric Dermatology, FUE Europe, the Hellenic Dermatologic and Venereologic Society, and the Hellenic Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
